Ok I made this a couple of weeks ago, I’m not too pleased with it but I’m posting it simply because of the amount of time I inviested in this.

Digital

All done in Photoshop, didn’t keep track of time but I spent at least a couple of hours on this. The mouth and nose and eyes, all gave me trouble. I learned a couple of things from this but it’s hard to say so looking at the results.

There is a time for life and love, and then, a time for regret.

Love is Crystal Clear - Nude girl holding a skull of a long lost lover

About the image: I spent more than a month working on this one and tinkering with it. I used a photograph of Jenna Jameson for the pose of the girl as a reference. The background is a wash of my own tree texture brushes. All of this was painted in Photoshop. Below you can see a breakdown of the different stages and maybe you can get some appreciation of the hell I went through before publishing.

Crystal WIP Animation

As you can see the version with the bright background looks great, but the image was meant to be dark so I went back towards the originally intended background and I think I’m done with it for now.

Yes!

The time has come for another digital sculpt. I took unusually long messing with this one, I’m estimating at least 3 hours of work. I know it still looks rushed but I’ve run out of patience trying to tweak it.

Dennis Wolf

For those of you who don’t know, Dennis Wolf is a currently competitive bodybuilder who has placed 4th and 5th in the last two Mr. Olympia contests. He has been fan favorite for both of these contests for rather obvious reasons: his huge shoulders and tiny midsection!

Yet another sketch of a girl!

Sketch of a Girl

This was a pencil sketch, I don’t even know what I referenced as I made the sketch quite a while ago but it was probably a model from Sports Illustrated. Anyways, the sketch was blended and adjusted in Photoshop.

My wife dragged me, literally, into the Body Worlds exhibit a few weeks ago. Frankly said I was not impressed. There was nothing there which I did not expect. I feel corpses should be left alone, ether in the ground or in ash form. Really the most interesting things I found at the entire exhibit were the tumors and illnesses, like enlarged hearts and kidneys. Those were indeed eye opening, as well as the blackened lungs of the coal mine worker…

Skinless Anatomy

Anyways, ignore my disdain for corpses, or lack of desire to view them set up as dancers and split up like onion blooms. If nothing else viewing the exhibit motivated me a bit to draw the above image. It’s all pencil with very minor contrast adjustments and touch-ups in Photoshop. Before you get your panties in a bunch I did’t use any references!

Ronnie Coleman – 8 time Mr. Olympia and arguably the best bodybuilder ever. These drawings are my studies from photographs of Big Ron.

Big Ron Coleman

The drawing below was actually made in 2007 but I’m just getting around to posting it here.

Big Ron

It’s awesome how huge he looks, even in a drawing!

These are some quick pencil sketches I made over last week, today while watching some football I had time to paint over these.

Portrait of Alexandra Penny

I don’t have a good estimate of how long I spent working on these because it was on and off during the day, my guess is about 2 hours total.

Daniel Craig is the new James Bond! Well not so new anymore, his second Bond movie is out and I’ve yet to see either.

Daniel Craig Pencil Portrait

This is a pencil drawing which was modified in Photoshop to bring up the contrast to 100% and reduce the brightness level. After this minor adjustments were made like fixing the shape of the mouth a bit.

This is the second digital painting I’ve done of Luba and she is quickly becoming one of my favorite muses.

Luba Shumeyko

The above image is a digital painting, I used a photo as a reference. Approximately 45 minutes of work mostly spent on black and white sculpting.

Well, since my Veronica Zemanova study the other day I decided to keep pressing with the divine breasts. This one was actually fairly quick, about 1 hour of work while watching TV.

Tera Patrick Digital Sculpt

The image was entirely drawn in Photoshop, photograph was used as a reference.
