Here is another study, 30 minutes of work, I used a different technique on this one from start to finish though I guess the end result is similar to my usual works.
This image is digital and was painted using Photoshop, I used a photograph for a reference.
I am really weak on drawing environments, partly because they never excited me in the past but recently I’ve found an urge to draw them like never before.
This first one was the result of brush testing, I did not use a reference. I’ve found that placing a character into the environment really helps to set the eye to the correct (or bad) scale of the scene.
The second one continued the brush testing but this time I did use a reference.
Both of these were what I would consider speed paintings as I used about 20 minutes on each, maybe 15 on the first but I didn’t use a timer. Anyways, I’ve recently not been posting anything because of a trip back to Bulgaria, it’s time to end the drought and hopefully more updates will come soon!
